Girls today may be strong and smart in school, but they to also learn how to handle themselves outside of school. This course will teach them all about the tools they need to be street smart – aware, savvy, and quick!
Description
School smart is one kind of smart. Many girls are smart at school. We also need girls to be smart in life, or street smart. Street smart is her ability to pay attention to the world around her, be aware, be prepared and ready, notice changes, and react quickly to situations as they arise. We don’t want to scare girls; we do want to equip and prepare them with life tools to survive and thrive.
In the Street Smarts Course, she will learn:
- All kinds of smart
- What is street smart, anyway?
- Why having street smarts is necessary for her
- Example of street smarts
- Street smarts in action – real case scenarios
- What to do when…trouble shooting tough situations
- How to be preventative
- The 5 tools she needs to be prepared
- Thinking on her feet – practice, practice, practice!
Course includes:
- 1:1 lesson (75 minutes) with Power Point
- Colourful handout(s) of key points and tools to try
- Follow up video with additional ideas and inspiration
