Girls today have a lot to do and a lot on their plates. As well, they have a lot in their brains and in their hearts. How much of what’s really going on for them gets shared and expressed. My experience has taught me – not much. Girls often feel a lot but share very little. Instead, they tell us, “I’m fine”. They can be out of practice or they can be worried that they will not be understood.

It’s no wonder that girls are so stressed and anxious, sometimes even disconnected from themselves and others. They are not sharing their feelings and able to process their emotions in healthy ways. And, they often don’t know they are much more in charge of their feelings than they believe.

Self-expression is one of the most important ways in determining a growing girl’s overall health and happiness.

Let’s help our girls know and accept ALL of their feelings and express themselves in health ways.

In the Express Yourself Course, she will learn:

• What feelings are and why they matter
• Where do feelings come from
• Feelings: too big, too small, and just right
• Her emotional vocabulary and knowing all feelings count
• Easy feelings such as: happy, excited, hopeful, grateful, and inspired
• Hard feelings such as: disappointment, sadness jealousy, frustration, and anger
• How to figure out how she’s feelings
• Healthy ways to process her feelings
• Self-expression and how to stay emotionally healthy

Course includes:

• 1:1 lesson (90 minutes) with Power Point
• Colourful handout(s) of key points and tools to try
• Follow up video with additional ideas and inspiration
