I can’t wait to share with you all the tools, tricks, and tips you need to help growing girls become strong, happy, healthy, confident, bold, brave, and balanced.

When I was a little girl, I used to play school. I mean play! After school, I’d often ask my teachers for spare handouts. I’d run home from a day of learning, grab a quick snack like a granola bar or cereal, and then roll up my sleeves and get to work. I had set up my classroom in the basement with a teacher’s desk, student desks, a chalkboard, a filing cabinet, and books. I even wore my mom’s heels so I too could make the “clickity-clack” of my teachers made while walking up and down the rows of desks. In short, I loved learning, I loved every part of school, and I loved teaching.

As I grow, I continued to pursue education, earning my Bachelor’s degree at university and then going on to earn my Master’s degree in educational leadership. I found myself drawn to a private learning center because I enjoyed working side by side with one student at a time. Then, when I outgrew that job and felt it was time to create my dream job, I designed Bold New Girls. Here, I merged my two loves of learning and personal growth so I could empower girls with both school skills and life skills. I experienced how much girls want to share their stories, unburden their stressors, and connect with someone who could see, hear, value, and validate all their experiences.

Like many of you, I have concerns when I speak with girls. These include:

  • Stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
  • Caring too much what others think about them
  • Lack of confidence and bravery
  • Holding back and hesitating
  • Obsession with appearance
  • Too much time scrolling and “connecting” on social media
  • Too little time connecting in the world
  • Too busy and too many to do’s
  • A lot of worry
  • Disconnection with themselves, others, the world
  • Loneliness
  • Apathy
  • Pushing for perfection

As their choices increase so do their challenges. Girls are taught by societal messages they can by “ANYTHING”. They hear they must be “EVERYTHING”. As a result, girls seem to become perfectionists or procrastinators. Both options can make them feel not good enough.

We want girls to know their worth, to show up as their truest and most authentic selves, to speak up and use their voice, to show their confidence and shine without worrying what otters think about them, to stand in their uniqueness and power, and to become strong, confident, bold, brave, happy, and healthy.

How do we encouraging, support, and champion girls to become strong?

One step and one strategy at a time!

That is why I designed the Bold New Girls Academy. I want to provide you with the insights into a girl’s world and the ideas to help you navigate her world with her (not for her).

This has its challenges, especially when girls are pushing us away, distracted by their screens and social media, busy with friends and finding their people, involved in activities and a long list of to-do’s, and feeling like they don’t need us. Yet, I believe that what girls need most is connection with us and the positive attention, understanding, love, help, encouragement, and championing we can offer them.

We want our girls to feel good and be healthy, to have tools, to take chances and become brave, and to grow strong!

Welcome to the Bold New Girls Academy!

The Global Girls Alliances says this…

“The future of our world is only as bright as our girls!”

When girls get the opportunity they deserve, amazing things start to happen…

  • Poverty goes down
  • Economies grow
  • Families heal and grow stronger
  • Babies are born healthier
  • The world becomes better
